You’re welcome to enjoy camp at your leisure throughout the weekend! Fish off the dock, play pickleball & tennis, walk & hike, and explore Madison’s favorite place!
Necessities
There is a Dollar General only half a mile from camp. it’s the most convenient option if you need to run out. Within about a 10 minute drive, there is also a Harris Teeter, Publix, and Fresh Market.
Restaurants
– Flat Rock, North Carolina –
Flat Rock Bakery: A close spot for coffee, homemade baked goods, and delicious pizza (I’d recommend the butternut squash one). While you’re there, stop in the Wrinkled Egg!
Sharewell Coffee: Another close spot with a full coffee menu and pastries.
Campfire Grill: Next to the Flat Rock Bakery, they’re great for burgers, salads, and beers.
– Hendersonville, North Carolina –
Never Blue: Located in downtown Hendersonville, Never Blue has wonderful tapas & small plates, get the Devils on Horseback!
Mountain Juicery: Go for smoothies, acai bowls, and other easy to-go options.
Whit’s Frozen Custard: This is an easy ice cream spot close to camp.
Kilwin’s: This is a favorite for campers before camp drop-off day! We love the toasted coconut.
Mezzaluna: Go for pizza, and walk right over to Kilwin’s for dessert.
Claywood: This is a new, trendy spot with cocktails, boards, and brunch.
Travel
Western North Carolina is a popular destination during Autumn, and the location of Camp Greystone is somewhat remote, so we suggest that you make your plans soon.
We have reserved blocks of rooms at the following hotels, and shuttle service will be provided to and from the Ceremony and Reception.
Please note in your RSVP if you plan to use this service.
Each hotel is located approximately 7 miles / 12 minutes from Greystone. If you are planning to drive from your hotel to the venue, there is plenty of parking available. however, please allow about 5 minutes to walk from the parking area to the Ceremony.
– WEATHER PERMITTING –
the ceremony will take place outside beside Lake Edith. The reception will take place in and around the Dining Hall and its porch. Please be sure to bring layers so you are comfortable in NC mountain weather.

When should I arrive?
If your schedule allows, we would love for you to arrive to the area in time for our Welcome Party Friday evening to explore camp a bit and settle in for the weekend. If an early arrival isn’t feasible, we look forward to celebrating the big day with you on Saturday!
What should I wear?
For the welcome party, the dress code is casual. For the ceremony and reception, the dress code is cocktail. Even though we’ll be at camp, we would love for you to dress up with us! Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place on grass, so please plan footwear accordingly.
What is the best way to handle rides, driving, & parking?

For guests staying in our hotel block, we will be in touch closer to the day-of with shuttle details.

For guests who would prefer to drive, we will have signage directing you to a designated parking area at camp.

Both the ceremony and reception will be at camp, so no rides will be needed in between each event.
